Supervisor Contact Coordinator - Hamilton

SUPERVISED COORDINATOR ROLE
“Supporting Families and Whānau” - “Caring for tamariki (children)”
We are currently seeking a supervised contact coordinator to join our dynamic whānau in Hamilton. Kake Oranga Hāhi Katorika Catholic Family Support Services provides a holistic and whānau-centred service to individuals, families and whānau. 

The supervised contact coordinator is responsible for the coordination and ensuring safe supervision for children and young people who are having visits with family and/or whānau members as a result of directions and/or orders in relation to formal access.
The successful person will have the following:
  • Knowledge and experience in care and protection family work
  • Knowledge of The Oranga Tamariki Act 1989 and its Family Court processes.
  • In-depth knowledge, understanding and practice of Tikanga Māori 
  • Te Whare Tapa Wha knowledge
  • Full NZ Drivers Licence (Clean – Class 1)
  • Able to effectively manage potential conflict situations (if necessary)
