Kake Oranga Hāhi Katorika - Catholic Family Support Services is the Social Service for the Diocese of Hamilton. We operate in Hamilton and Rotorua. Our services are home-based and provide the support necessary for people to make fundamental changes to their lives. The ultimate goal is to empower families and individuals to regain control of their own lives. Our commitment is not to foster dependency but independence and confidence. It is not about a “hand-out” but a “hand-up”. We welcome people whatever their beliefs.

Our Board members are appointed by the Bishop of Hamilton. Board members are chosen for their expertise across the range of skills required as Board members. We are very fortunate to have such a good Board.

We offer a range of services for families and individuals. In Hamilton we receive MSD and Oranga Tamariki contracts to provide our services. In Rotorua our services are funded entirely by the local community. We provide a professional service, employing registered social workers, trained whānau support workers and trained financial mentors.
